This field of wild daisies near my house reminded me of the opening scene of Alice in wonderland, where Alice is dreaming about a world of her own with flowers that could sit talk and with her for hours. The opening scene is one of my favorites from the movie. I love that wonderland is brought to life because of Alice's imagination. I knew I wanted to capture this dreamy idyllic setting and of course I had to dress as Alice to do so.

I love the cottage core style that has become popular recently. Cottage core fashion is a romanticized version of country life, it often features skirts and dresses that are perfect for adventures in the countryside. Elements of this style that I took inspiration from are layering outfits with puffy sleeves & button blouses and aprons. Both Alice & cottage core romanticize the world they live in, Alice's style naturally fit well into this fashion aesthetic and I loved the result of combing cottage core + Disney style.

I put together my Alice cottage core inspired outfit with pieces from my wardrobe. I layered a white puff sleeve blouse under under a light blue dress. To create the pinafore look I took a lace tank top and folded it up under itself and tied a white lace apron on top. I made the apron from a cotton lace sheet, it has become one of my favorite Disneybounding accessories. I completed the look with a black bow, black ballet flats and daisy earrings. What I loved about this outfit is without the apron its something I would wear every day and for more subtle Alice vibes. I love Alice's style and her silhouette I could wear puffy sleeves and petticoats everyday!

It's important to stop and smell the wildflowers and enjoy the beauty and magic that's all around us. I felt like a real life Alice picking flowers in the countryside and day dreaming about talking flowers and babbling brooks.

I hope you enjoyed seeing these pictures as much as I enjoyed taking them. I couldn't have asked for a more picture perfect day.
